Meditation & Buddhism Immersion

12 sessions · 24 hours · online · Monday evenings

A rare educational program in France

Meditation is often marketed as a 10-minute tool. But the tradition from which it emerges—Buddhism, psychology, texts—is largely absent. This immersion bridges that gap. For those who want to understand what they’re practicing, through a living, grounded practice. To go from “I tried an app” to “I’m truly practicing”—rooted in a tradition, without dogmatism.

Twelve sessions. Four cycles.

Cycle 1: Develop a practice that transforms daily life.

Discover the foundations of meditation and the Buddhist path. Develop a mindfulness practice and begin to take a fresh look at yourself, your habits, and your way of being in the world.

Cycle 2: Breaking Free from Repetitive Patterns

Explore how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors shape our experience. Through loving-kindness meditation, learn to recognize repetitive patterns and open the door to freer, more mindful responses.

Cycle 3: Cultivating Balanced Compassion

Cultivate deep compassion—for oneself and for others. Discover how to remain open to the world without becoming drained, and turn compassion into a force for inner and relational transformation.

Cycle 4: Embracing and Transforming Your Emotions

Discover an approach that views every experience—including difficult emotions—as an opportunity for awakening. Through meditation and visualization, learn to transform your inner energy and develop a more vibrant and sacred relationship with existence.

I completed two certification courses with Elise through Explore Training (Vinyasa Yoga Teacher / Meditation and Compassion). The courses are comprehensive, and Elise is a very attentive and caring teacher. She opens our eyes to new possibilities with her positive, radiant energy—not to mention her signature touch of humor! Don’t hesitate to sign up for her courses—you’ll discover a supportive community and a top-notch team. So come join the dance!

FAQ

Do you have to be Buddhist to sign up?

No. We take a secular and critical approach, open to all traditions. We draw on practices from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, without treating them as dogma.

Do I need to have meditated before?

It’s preferable but not required. We offer guided practices and feedback on any challenges. Requirement: a commitment to practice 10–30 minutes a day between sessions.

What if I can’t attend all the sessions?

Recordings are available. 1–2 absences are allowed. If you miss more than 3 sessions, it’s best to wait for the next session.

How is this different from a retreat?

Retreat = a short, intensive program in silence. Immersion = a long-term program (4 months) integrated into everyday life. The two are complementary.

Will there be a follow-up?

Retreats in Provence, themed workshops, meditation mentoring. Explore Passport: 15% off retreats.

Who is this immersion program intended for?

  • Yoga or meditation practitioners who want to understand the fundamentals of what they do.
  • Coaches, therapists, and mentors who want to ground their practice in a living tradition.
  • Readers who have already explored Buddhism through books and want to move on to structured practice.
  • People going through life transitions (the second half of life, grief, career changes) who are seeking an understanding of suffering that is neither psychologizing nor religious.

This immersion is neither a university course (practice is central), nor an introduction to a specific school (secular approach), nor a 12-session wellness program.
